GUEST OPERATOR PERMIT APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Foreign amateur radio operators wishing to operate in Indonesia should obtain a permit before commencing operation. The permit will be issued by the Oganisasi Amatir Radio Indonesia Daerah (ORARI Daerah).
A guest operator permit will be given to:
1. Members of Amateur Radio Organizations from ASEAN countries ( Philippines ,Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar,and Cambodia)
2. Members of Amateur Radio Organizations from countries that have a reciprocal agreement with Republic of Indonesia. ( Australia, Argentina, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Nederland, Swedish, United Kingdom, United Stated of America )
Documents required for application :
1. Copy of a valid amateur radio license
2. Copy of a valid passport and Visa
3. Two (2) pieces of passport-size photos
4. A document showing a local address and length of stay
5. Pay an administration fee.
Once a permit is issued, the foreign operator is allowed to operate under the following conditions:
1. All guest operators can only operate from the local amateur radio stations whose hold an Indonesian Amateur Radio Extra Class / Penegak License ( YB/YE ).
The guest operator should be accompanied by the local operator holder during operation.
2. The guest operator permit is valid for 2 (two) weeks from issuance.
3. The permit can be extended after a review of the guest operator activity.
4. The permit extension fee charged and valid for another 2 (two) week.
5. The permit is not an amateur radio license and valid only for operation in each ORARI Daerah’s.
